The founding members of the Remsen Performing and Visual Arts Center set out with a goal to create a place for our community to join together and celebrate the arts.
Remsen Concert Series
We have some amazing concerts lined up for 2026! From jazz and blues to rock & roll to Americana. Some new bands and also some you may have seen before.
This project is made possible through the CNY Arts Grants for Regional Arts and Cultural Engagement regrant program thanks to a New York State Senate Initiative supported by the NYS Legislature, the Office of the Governor and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts. Plus members, community support, and the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

Sunday May 17 @ 4pm - Adam Morris - Adam returns to Remsen with his guitar and vocal styling.
Saturday & Sunday - May 30-31 - 12-6pm - Remsen Arts Fest - The Remsen Arts Fest features local artists plus high school artists in the Remsen Art Market, live stage entertainment, children’s activities, artists demonstrations, video presentations, car show, food, and more.
Sunday June 7 @ 3pm- Rupert Wates - Internationally touring singer-songwriter, born in London, based since 2007 in New York.. Since coming to the US he has won more than 50 songwriting and performing awards. “Terrific hooks, deep lyrics, awesome voice and nearly astonishing fingerpicking chops – the real deal” (Monterey County Weekly CA)
Saturday June 13 @ 4pm – The Lost Child: A Theatric Musical Suite with Narration - An original work performed by the ensemble Punctum Originem (Point of Origin). The group is a quintet consisting of Singer/Narrator, Flute, Double Bass, Piano, and Drum Set. The name of our ensemble—Punctum Originem—reflects the dual nature of the suite’s investigation.
Sunday June 28 @ 3pm – John Brown - Song, Stories, & Art Lessons from Strangers; bringing giant hand-drawn comics to the stage; weaving together award-winning storytelling songs (Kerrville New Folk Winner) and the visual arts in a live performance.
Saturday & Sunday - July 18 & 19 - 250th Remsen Remembers - Village wide celebration of the nations 250th anniversary.
Sunday July 26 @ 4pm- Five Families - Five performers using five families of instruments.
Tuesday August 4 @ 7pm- Tuesday Night Big Band - The 14-piece group is known to play popular big band music of the 1930s and 40s, from bands led by Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and many others. Dancing is encouraged.
Sunday August 9 @ 4pm- Patsy Cline Tribute - Rebecca Miner plays Patsy in this retrospective performance.
Sunday August 30 @ 4pm- On the Porch - An acoustic trio weaving playful harmonies into beloved Folk and Americana tunes.
Friday Sept 11 @ 7:30pm- Cincinnati Creek - Local favorites return for an evening of bluegrass.
Sunday Sept 20 @ 4pm - Annie & the Hedonists - A band with a great lead singer and tight harmonies, covering an eclectic mix of acoustic blues, vintage jazz and swing, and folk roots Americana.
Sat Sept 26 10-6 & Sun Sept 27 10-5 - Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts - Visit our booth plus inside our building shop the Remsen Art Market and view local history displays.
Sunday Oct 4 @ 4pm - Monk Rowe’s Roots of Rock ‘n Roll - From Carl Perkins to Chuck Berry; from "In the Mood" to "Great Balls of Fire," the Roots of Rock & Roll covers the early influences and hit-making artists who redefined popular music. “Put on your Dancin’ Shoes!”
Saturday Oct 17 @ 2pm- Lavallee Siblings - Ethan, Eva & Etienne Lavallee are 13, 11 & 8 year old siblings who are going to play a list of solo, duet, and trio songs on Piano, Violin, Organ, Clarinet & Marimba.
Sunday Nov 1 @ 4pm - Blueprints - Blueprints features NY Blues Hall of Fame members, pianist Dave Liddy and guitarist George Deveny, and the rhythm section of drummer Oscar Crandall and bassist Dan Porter! Harmonica player, SAMMY Hall of Famer, Skip Murphy joins us! Blues-rock deluxe!
