Experience the Voice, Passion, and Heartbreak of a Country Legend in Patsy Cline: A Tribute to an Icon
Music lovers and theatergoers are invited to take a journey through the brief but brilliant career of one of music’s greatest legends. Patsy Cline: A Tribute to an Icon, starring acclaimed vocalist and performer Rebecca Miner, is set to take the stage on Sunday, August 9th at 4pm at the Remsen Arts Center, 9627 Main Street, Remsen, NY. Tickets available online and if still available at the door. Advance Sale & at the Door Credit Prices: $27.38 General Admission, $22.13 Members, $32.64 VIP Seating. At the Door Cash Prices: $25 General Admission, $20 Members, $18 Students.
The production transcends a typical tribute concert, offering a deeply intimate portrait of the woman behind the timeless voice. Miner steps into the boots of the country music pioneer, flawlessly delivering Cline’s biggest hits spanning from 1955 to 1963—including unforgettable classics like "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," and "Walkin' After Midnight."
What sets this performance apart is the storytelling woven between the iconic melodies. Between musical numbers, Miner shares real-life stories and personal letters from Patsy’s often difficult and ultimately tragic life. Audiences will witness how Cline’s immense strength and fierce passion grew out of personal adversity, ultimately coloring every song she sang and every decision she made in her much too short career.
"Patsy Cline didn't just sing a song; she lived it," says Miner. "Through her letters and stories, we get to see the grit, determination, and vulnerability that made her an icon. It is an honor to bring her voice—and her spirit—back to the stage."
Rebecca is joined by a talented roster of musicians from Central New York: John Handzel on bass, Tim Baldwin on guitar and vocals, Joshua Dahlin on drums, Andy Box on keyboards and vocals, and George Newton on Pedal Steel, and E. E. Norris on vocals. Together with Rebecca, these fine musicians effectively take us into the sound recording studio or concert hall with them, where Patsy Cline is pouring her heart out to us!
Whether you are a lifelong fan of the golden era of country music or discovering her legacy for the first time, Patsy Cline: A Tribute to an Icon promises an afternoon of powerful nostalgia, rich storytelling, and unmatched vocal performances.
