Remsen Performing and Visual Arts Center (RAC)

RAC is a former church with high vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows in Porter Hall, with an entrance room, rear room, and former kitchen areas. Porter Hall is a 32’ x 48’ area that includes a 8’ x 32’ elevated stage.

Rental Agreement

$100 Refundable Deposit added to all Daily Rentals

$50 per hour

$160 - 4 hours

$300 - 8 hours/per day

Ongoing Rentals (such as weekly or monthly meetings) are available by arrangement that may qualify for special rates.

Optional Items:

$25/hr - Use of RAC audio sound system, stage lights, and/or video projector system requires a RAC technician. Typically this would be the event/performance time plus one hour for setup and tear down.

Piano tuning - $150 by RAC technician.

Rental Agreement

1. Requests should be made at least six weeks in advance.

2. RAC will confirm availability on the master calendar.

3. Upon approval a $100 Refundable Deposit fee is required to secure the requested date. Fee will be refunded after rental date upon inspection of facilities. All renters equipment and decorations must be removed, trash containing food waste must be bagged and removed with you before leaving the facility. If facility is left in unsatisfactory condition renter agrees to forfeit deposit. Any additional or unusual cleanup incurred by RAC beyond the forfeited deposit fee shall be paid by renter to RAC at $50/hr.

4. The rental balance due must be paid no later than one week prior to the rental date or rental agreement will be terminated.

5. Facility use is limited to room(s) rented and immediate adjacent rooms.

6. Use of kitchen area does not include RAC supplies.

7. Alcoholic beverages plus smoking are not permitted.

8. Repair and/or replacement costs for damaged/missing property shall be paid by renter.

9. Building must be vacated by agreed to end time.
